Quotes from Campbell

This evening has been really funny. Campbell was looking at a video of herself on our camera and she said, Campbell is funny. I love me!

Her other favorite thing to say this weekend is "why". I just heard her asking her daddy why she had to put on her pjs.

Happy Anniversary Lanes!

Chris' parents surprised Chris and Cassie with a nice cake for their anniversary. It is amazing how fast 5 years flies by! Congrats friends!

Homecoming 2008

Stephen, Jenny, and I hit the road this morning for a little tailgaiting before the game. We ended up tailgaiting the entire 2nd half and you know why if you watched the game.

Pictures: Cassie, Jenny, and Kerri and Jenny and Ward. Justin Hertach and Stephen.

Breast Cancer Awareness

As we drove across the bridge in Lawrence today, it was lined with bras to raise Breast Cancer Awareness.

Headband

Campbell insisted on wearing this very fashionable headband. One of these days it will actually hold the hair out of her face.

I can do it by myself....

One of the many things CCJ wants to do by herself.....putting on her own diaper...

Black Eye

Campbell came home on Tuesday night with a big bump on the side of her left eye. She was apparently pushed into a table from another a child. It looked a lot better about an hour after she got home, but has a scrape on the side of her head and her eye lid is blue. Overall, it could have been a lot worse!

Playdoh,....yum!

Emaline and Campbell were playing with Playdoh and I heard Emaline yell, Kerri, Campbell is eating the Playdoh. She apparently prefers the blue! It appears she is quite proud of herself in this picture.

Green Hair

Campbell and Emaline were being silly this week with my HRB pom poms. They were pretending to have hair.....well at least Campbell was pretending!~

Witch Tee

Campbell will be sporting her Halloween gear for the next week! She was quite proud of her shirt and said it was "so cute" and that she "looked pretty" today.

Mimi and Papa Babysit

Last week, Stephen and I were both traveling at the same time, so Mimi and Papa came to the rescue. Campbell looks very proud in these pictures as she can finally hold a bow in her hair. It is right on the top of her head, but it stays in!

"I love hearts"

Campbell has decided that this Mangino-esque leisure suit is one of her favs....

Little Miss School Girl

Campbell wore her little plaid dress I bought her over the weekend. I opened her drawer and found the cutest red Mary Jane's I had bought in Dallas earlier this year. Once she gets more hair, she is going to look so old!

Imos.....Yuck!

After Deanna Rose, we headed out to dinner. Stephen was talking about going to Imo's pizza b/c he heard it was like Old Chicago/Uno's. Um, not quite.....it was more like Little Ceasars! The cheese they use is called "Provel" and we thought it tasted like Velveeta. I would not recommend a trip to Imos' in your future.

Touching the Goats

Campbell was a little unsure about the baby goats, but once she warmed up to them, she kept touching them. This was about the time we heard the announcement that they would be closing in 15 minutes and we missed out on the pumpkins!

I love Playgrounds

At Deanna Rose, we had to stop at the playground. CCJ was not happy when we had to move on!

Flower Pot

We had a great time at Deanna Rose. We did not realize the park closes at 5pm, so we completely missed the pumpkin patch. :(

Waiting for Deanna Rose

I found Campbell sitting on the front porch waiting for us to head to the pumpkin patch. She was singing a song that I made up when she was a little baby. I sing "Campbellina" to the Boomer Sooner fight song. This kid will probably end up going to OU and won't know why she loves it so much!

CCJ in 1966

After visiting Cassie's blog this afternoon, I was inspired to see what Campbell would have looked like in 1966. She has some fancy hairdos!

Incident Report

I received an incident report for Campbell today. Apparently a child bit her and I found the note so funny, I just had to share!

"Campbell was on a toy in the indoor playroom when another child wanted the toy, so the child bit her on the head."

Are you kidding me?

Double Trouble

I got the funniest email from my sister-in-law, Rebecca today. I just couldn't do it justice, so I have pasted the email below...

After a very short phone conversation today I head upstairs and hear Mollie saying "uh oh Mom, you'd better come here"....what every mom loves to hear. At the top of the stairs I am greeted by my smiling Emma Jane who has obviously tried to eat a stamp pad whole, (see photo attached). After counting a dozen little green handprints all over the playroom, I put her in the bath. Sad to say she did not look much different post-bath....obviously not a washable stamp pad. Lovely, guess who was taking their girls to the arboretum tomorrow to take pictures with the pumpkins?
Well I guess we all know Emma Jane will be a leperachaun for Halloween this year!
And one more thing, if you want to call me to chat please wait until 2025 when they are off at college!
love
rebecca

Ice Cream

Campbell enjoyed her first Drumstick by herself tonight. She was very determined to hold it all by herself. This is one hard headed little girl!
