Enjoying her bed

I found Campbell enjoying her big girl bed today. She was just relaxing and taking it all in.

Surprise!

Campbell has been talking a lot about a "Big Girl Bed", so this morning, Stephen and I surprised her by taking the front off her crib. Now her bed is just like Emaline's! We called her upstairs and she was very surprised and VERY excited. Tonight has been a bit of a challenge as she has already been caught in the hallway playing. It is going to be a long year....

Emaline and Campbell

The girls kept quite busy on Friday night while all the adults enjoyed some conversation! Campbell and Emaline are really starting to grow up and act like little girls, giggling, screaming, etc!

Friday night with Gus...

Lisa and Baby Gus came over for dinner on the deck on Friday night. We also had the Handzels and Mimi and Papa. Campbell really likes to talk to Gus and she asked to hold him a few times that night. Gus wasn't really that interested in Campbell.

Popsicle Fever

This child is fully aware of how tasty a popsicle can be. She loves a popsicle and recently told me that her babysitter, Miss Samantha let her eat one in my bed and showed me where it dripped on the sheets. My only rule is that she has to eat a popsicle on the deck.

Campbell came home from school in pigtails on Friday. Not my favorite hairstyle, but she looked pretty cute.

Mother's Day

I had a nice Mother's Day. We went to church and it was a very long service due to confirmations. Note to self, always check the schedule! We got home and Mimi and Papa came over and Stephen cooked us breakfast. After that it was work, work, work. I spent the day with Mimi and Papa planting flowers, trimming bushes, and cleaning up the yard. Stephen decided to take a 2 hour nap with CCJ. Not his smartest move! I put him to work when he woke up by having him buy 15 bags of mulch and spreading it over the flower bed!

Baby Gus and Lisa Visit

The Friday before Mother's Day, Lisa and Gus came over to hang out and have some dinner. Stephen and I got to practice our skills while Campbell gave him lots of kisses. She was never jealous and would pat him when he cried and said, Oh baby Gus, it is okay.

While we were on vacation, Mimi put a bow in Campbell's hair. As you can tell, she isn't that excited!

Fun with the Round Brush

Now that Campbell has some hair, we were having fun playing around with it. She liked laughing at herself in the mirror while I made her a mohawk!

Church Girl

We thought Campbell looked very cute today before church. She told Stephen as we were walking in to church this morning that she was going to see Jesus. As we started singing at the beginning of the service, she asked if we were going to sing the Alleluiah song.

Learning to dunk

Campbell learned how to dunk her Oreo in milk tonight. She focused so much on the dunking that she only ate 1 cookie. She is drinking out of the golf cup that Dede used to drink her martinis out of. When Dede died, Stephen and I were quick to grab that cup b/c we shared many "before dinner" drinks with her.

BTW...CCJ contracted Fifths disease which caused her cheeks to become bright red. Once the child has the rash, they are no longer contagious. We didn't know anything was wrong with her until the rash popped up and now it is all over her body!

I love Guac!

Campbell love guac so much that we will make it and just have it for dinner with chips. CCJ and I were on our own last week and devoured a whole bowl together.

New Tunnel

Mimi and Papa bought a tunnel for Campbell. As you can see, it is WAY too big for our little house. The new tunnel will stay at Mimi and Papa's for now.
