Sledding

Due to the large amount of snow, Grandpa David was ready to take Campbell out to go sledding for the first time. She loved it!

Santa Presents!

Campbell had a great time playing with her Santa gifts. She got Dance Around Dora and a nursery set.

Christmas Eve

This year, the snow altered our Christmas Eve plans. Due to the weather, all church services were cancelled. I was really sad as I love church so much on Christmas Eve. I decided to get CCJ dressed in her Christmas outfit anyway and head over to Aunt Paula and Uncle Gary's house for dinner. We had a great time and CCJ opened some fun presents.

We had a very interesting drive home after my uncle and cousin got my car un-stuck. I was sitting in the neighbors yard for about 20 minutes. We made it home and CCJ got into the bath and ready for Santa.

Cookies For Santa

We headed back to Tulsa on Thursday morning and literally made it minutes before the sleet started. It sleeted for about 4 hours before dumping a ton of snow and creating some blizzard conditions.

Here is a picture of CCJ setting cookies and milk for Santa.

Saying Goodbye

We have had a sad ending to 2009.

Steve Jones passed away on December 12th. We were all sad to say goodbye to Grandad, but at the same time, we know that he is no longer hurting. We spent a week in Dallas spending time with family and preparing for the service. The memorial service was absolutely beautiful and I am honored to have attended. We received so many phone calls, cards, notes, and visitors and could never express how much we appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. This was a hard Christmas for all of us, but Campbell helped to keep it light and fun.

Ready to go....

I am not sure what she as doing here, but I thought it was cute.

Santa Claus Visit

Campbell did a great job with Santa this year. She was a little unsure at first, but then she warmed up to him. He sang Jingle Bells with her and she told him she wanted a Dance Around Dora for Christmas.

Zella Claire

Campbell likes to hold Zella Claire whenever she can. This little girl has no idea what is in store for her. I see her being bossed around by not one, but two little girls~!

Happy Birthday Campbell!

Monday, November 30th was a BIG day! Not only was it Campbell's 3rd birthday, but she started in a new classroom. She is now in the 3-4 year old classroom with Miss Leah. She also goes to "real" pre-school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with Miss Donna. The special thing about that class is that it is the same class as Emaline's! Carissa and I were thrilled that the girls would be in the same pre-school class since they will not be in the same grade in elementary school.

CCJ has had a bit of a rough transition. She went from being the oldest in the classroom with her "best buddies" Caden and Parker to being the youngest with a class of what seems to be much older kids. She will be fine as she is ready for the challenge!

C and E

Here is a cute picture of Campbell and Emaline on Thanksgiving morning. They will take any chance they can to hang out. They decided to spend a few minutes together while we were packing our cars.

Babies on the couch

Campbell has really enjoyed bringing ALL of her babies to one spot. Mommy and Daddy's bed, the couch, the dining room table, the basement...it doesn't seem to matter.

New Dora Nightgown

I bought Campbell a new Dora nightgown the other day and she has worn it every single night since. We think she looks absolutely adorable in a long nightgown we are now on a mission to find more! She refuses to keep covered up and only wants to wear nightgowns these days, so we have found the best solution is a long one!

Family Pictures-Take One

While Laura was here, we had her try to take some family pictures of us. We didn't really get any great ones before the camera died (my fault).

Reading with Aunt Laura

Aunt Laura came for a visit the weekend of November 7th. Campbell knows how to get Aunt Laura to do what she wants her to do and this picture shows how they read books together after CCJ got her animals just right.

Raking Leaves

I can't remember if I posted this or not, but after Halloween, the weather was so nice CCJ and I decided to rake leaves. In Roeland Park, you just rake them into the street and they sweep them up several times throughout the fall! CCJ loved playing and diving into them.

Halloween Night

Campbell completely understood the concept of Halloween this year.....it is simple. Say trick or treat? when someone opens the door, get candy, say thank you and run to the next house!

Trick-or-Treating Take One

Campbell's school hosted a "trunk-or-treat" event on Saturday afternoon. Emaline and Campbell had a great time together. They had not seen each other in over a week and were very excited to play.

New Haircut

Once we got home from our haircut, we put on our Ariel gear and were ready to go! I love her new little bob.

Happy Halloween

Campbell wore her cute little Halloween Dress that Mimi made her. We dressed her up and then went to get a hair cut!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Since we were busy taking care of a sick little girl on Wednesday, we decided to celebrate Stephen's birthday on Friday night. Mimi and Papa brought over a yummy ice cream cake and I made a pretty good dinner.

Dancing Queen

Mimi bought Campbell some ballet shoes and she decided that she needed to put on her dance outfit right away. Mimi was teaching her some ballet positions.

Tough Week

Last week was full of sickness for Campbell. We got a call from school about 4:45 on Monday letting us know that CCJ had a fever of 101.6. The next morning, she had a temp of 103 and 102. We kept her home with us until Friday. We are happy to say that we are almost back to normal. CCJ still has a little cold, but that won't keep her down!

Pumpkin Patch

We headed to the Pumpkin Patch today and were all there about 5 minutes and it started to rain. We posed for some very quick pictures and were out of there!

Go Jayhawks

Seems like every weekend lately, CCJ has been wearing her KU outfit and heading to Mimi and Papa's, while Stephen and I go to the games. We have taken her to some games, but we expect to do it a lot more when she is a little bit older!

Disturbing....

Campbell obviously swiped a plastic knife from the kitchen and put it in her kitchen. Is anyone else disturbed at the way she is holding it in my direction?

No Pictures, Please

Campbell being silly. I have 3 shots of her hand before she decided to really let me take a picture. She has on 2 night gowns.

Silly Girl

Campbell was being silly this morning and putting stickers on her face. She saw Parker do it yesterday and decided she might need to be just like him! Check out her cute pants!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved a pumpkin last night for the first time with Campbell. She was more focused on the candle then anything else. We also toasted pumpkin seeds!

Fall Clean Up

While I was busy organizing and donating toys, CCJ had fun playing dress up. She really loves to play dress up. The last 2 nights she has slept in her snow white outfit over her pjs.

New Pearls

Campbell received a very special gift in the mail from her Great Grandmother, Gigi. Gigi was very proud of what a big girl CCJ has become and sent her a set of beautiful pearls. CCJ talked about how special they are and that she needs to be very careful with them.

Thank you GIGI!!

Artwork

CCJ made a stepping stone for Grandpa David's birthday. She loves to do any kind of art project.

Quick Tulsa Visit

We had a really quick trip to Tulsa last weekend to celebrate Grandpa David's 60th birthday. We arrived late afternoon on Friday and were on the road by 9:30 on Sunday morning. We are sorry to our Tulsa family that we didn't get to see. We'll plan another trip soon!

CCJ played with toys we borrowed from the neighbor boys.
