Keller David Stephens

After nearly a week of labor, Laura had the most adorable baby boy, Keller! We are absolutely in love with him and he is our favorite baby in the whole world! We had a great time loving on him this weekend.

Swimming with Gigi

Before heading out of town, we stopped by to see Gigi and Papa Bill. CCJ and Gigi went swimming and CCJ nearly jumped on Gigi and splashed her entire head!

Laura's Baby Shower

Well, here we go again with a delayed post. So much has been going on lately. I last left off with Nancy's visit in July and then went straight to Tulsa the next weekend to throw Laura a baby shower. She got lots of good stuff and it was great to see her in the final weeks of pregnancy!

Nancy Visits

Nancy came for a visit to Kansas City. We packed a ton of activities into 5 days. Thursday night she arrived and we went to Stroud's for dinner. Friday I worked and Campbell went to school, but we cooked out when we got home and sat on the deck. The weather was unbelievable. Saturday we had lunch with my friend Lucy, and her mother, Alice. Alice and Nancy have been friends since the Jeff City days. We took a nap and then Miss Samantha came over to watch Campbell so we could go to dinner with Nancy. Sunday we went to Loose park to feed the ducks and then went to the KCCC to swim and have dinner. Monday, Nancy flew home, but will be back in August for another visit. We'll see how much we can pack in that week!

St Joe's Parade

On Friday, St Joe's hosted a parade for the preschool kids. It lasted 15 minutes total including a class picture. Campbell was a bit overwhelmed and actually got very upset after she saw me. I asked the teachers if they had an exit strategy.

New Dress

Campbell got a few new dresses from Nanny. She wore this to school one day. I was hopeful it would not get ruined in cooking class.

Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's Day this year. We started with making breakfast for Daddy and then CCJ gave him her present......a beautifully decorated hot pad. We then went for a yummy lunch and then to Ceramic Cafe where we all painted pottery.

Girls Club

Emaline, Thea, and Campbell spent an afternoon together recently. CCJ has become so social and asks every day if one of her friends can come over. I am not looking forward to the day that she will prefer spending time with her friends over me.

Lowry Visit

The Lowry family came to KC for a visit and we go to spend some time with the Mayors and Lowrys. It was so good to see everyone again. I didn't do a great job of taking pictures, but here are a couple of the kids playing foosball.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went to OKC for Memorial Day Weekend and CCJ was a little fish. She loves the water and is a lovely golden brown. One day she was in the pool for about 9 hours....

New Big Girl Bed

We bought CCJ a new big girl bed for her big girl room downstairs. It is a Captain's bed and the draws underneath pull out to a trundle bed. She has slept downstairs since the first night we put it together. The room is much more pulled together now than what this picture shows.

Spare Bedroom

We moved Campbell to her new big girl room downstairs, but first we had to re-do the spare bedroom so we could shuffle furniture around. Here is the spare bedroom that used to look like a room that belonged in a beach house. Bye Bye blue and white!

Pebbles

This picture just cracks me up. She reminds me of her Daddy in this one.

Uncle Gary Visits

Uncle Gary came to Kansas City to visit the family. He and Campbell hit it off after a couple of days of warming up.

We are back....

I am in shock that my last blog post was back in April. I guess we have just been so busy enjoying the summer that I just haven't had much time for the computer!

Let's see....what have we been doing?

So Sleepy....

Campbell was extremely quiet around 7:30 one night and Stephen found her at the bottom of the stairs asleep.

Easter in Tulsa

Here are a few pics of the kids spending some quality time with each other at the Burcharts.

Rehearsal Dinner Pics

Laura and Eric tie the knot!

Well, I know it has been WAY too long since my last post. I was just reminded the other day that it has been over a month since my last post. Sorry!!

This Spring has been so busy. We started the year with almost nothing on the calendar and then packed our weekends full of celebrating Aunt Laura and her upcoming wedding.

On April 3rd, Laura and Eric got married at Dresser Mansion in Tulsa. It was an absolute blast! CCJ was the flower girl and I was the Matron of Honor. Campbell ended up not feeling well, but she made it down the aisle. She walked with me and stood like a big girl at the front of the courtyard.

Campbell, the teacher

I was spying on CCJ one night as she was pretending to be a teacher. She was teaching her class how to say words in Spanish. It was so funny!

Julianne's Shower

Julianne came to town for about 24 hours and during that time we managed to squeeze in a shower. We had a great time and J got lots of great stuff for Baby Allie and Baby Brock! We can't wait for their arrival in May/June!!

As you can see, Campbell was a helper and was so well behaved.

New Jeans

Campbell has had an aversion to jeans for the past year. She will only wear "soft pants", but one day she decided to wear jeans like the big kids. She looked adorable!

Ellie, the Diva

Lately, Ellie has been taking it upon herself to decide where she will sleep. I found her one afternoon all stretched out on the couch.

Wacky Wednesday

This week at school the theme is Dr. Seuss and Wednesday was called "Wacky Wednesday". The kids thought it was pretty cool to wear your PJs to school!

Projects with Daddy

Campbell and Daddy must have worked on this project while I was gone. I have never seen these large backs of peanuts. I think SBJ was sound proofing out basement and adding insulation.

Poor Ellie

It decided to snow another weekend and we were getting pretty bored. CCJ decided that everyone needed stickers, including Ellie.

Thea Visits

Ivy has a new job that requires her to travel for 2 weeks at a time (cannot come home on the wknds) during the campaign kick off. Luckily, this will end after 6 weeks. Our drive at 5pm phone calls have not been happening lately..sniff sniff. We knew that Marc was probably in need of a break, so we invited Thea over to play with Campbell.
